So I have kinda forced myself to draw on a regular bases by coming up with some topic to focus on for 10 days.

I start out with my favourite thing to draw.

I have bad lightning in my room, so I am sorry for bad pictures. I am too lazy to bother retouching them in Photoshop or retake with better lightning !

I watched a video of Kandee Johnson doing a Jem makeup video on youtube. So I went to search for the intro song to Jem as well. I ended up feeling a bit inspired to do a fanart of her... so here is one in progress :)

Web hosting - any recommendations?

So I want to get my own domain - where I can have my blog(s) & artwork/portfolio... the problem is that I don't know which web host to pick or what I should go for. I do want a website that supports wordpress. .

After seeing a friend of mine making her own website made me realize that I need to get one up and running sometime soon. It is one of my goals for this year, and I did touch the subject of website hosting last year briefly. However a lot can happen over 8 months and maybe some of you have found a better web hosting sites since then or still stand strong with the ones you recommended last time

Which one would you recommend or do you have a better suggestion?

This one is a fanart. I do a lot of fanart for Final Fantasy 11 lately. This is a portrait of Katsuko's character in ff11. She is a mithra :) I am having some issues with finding the right colour theme I want to use.

This was my first sketch of her, but I am not sure I am going to finish it or not

Another one I am working on.

I don't know about you, but I always play around everytime I colour in Photoshop. I barely stick to the same style, sometimes I combine a lot of styles together to get some nice effect. I guess you could say I use the experience I get :) A lot of artists stick to the same style, I don't think I have found my artstyle yet.

Sketch of my character Iridescence, who is a mithra.

The eye is sorta annoying me a little bit. Good thing I drew it on another layer - so I can always move it ;<.< It's a rough sketch, so the lineart is not pretty. I like messy linearts, even though a clean one would be pretty. I don't know if I dare to promise to finish this one :P

Ah yeah, lets see how long it takes for Photobucket to take it down for "NUDEness" - which is rather annoying, because there is pretty much nothing to see XD

A new tablet!

Got my new tablet today, a Wacom Intuos3. I am very impressed with it so far, it's much better than the old cheap Wacom tablet I have been using for the last 4 years. So this is definitely a nice change and I also hope this one will last a few years :)

Just a quick sketch. I am hoping to at least update every week with some new sketch or drawing. :)

Also I need to get started with website and such :)

First I want to say I am sorry for lack of updates on my artblog. My life has been a bit busy over the last couple of months and there has not been much time to work on artwork.

Also my Wacom tablet is broken, so I need to replace my old one at some point. :)

Unfinished work and it will stay that way. After 2 hours I messed up the drawing and it was so bad I barely could recover it - I had already done a nice shadingfrom her neck and down, but ah well I can only wish that I had a longer "history" in photoshop so I could have gone futher back. I should really save more copies of artwork when I work instead of just one .psd file.

I came across this website called Viewbook where you can host your portfolio - I really like a lot of the features they have, I did have some minor issues with a few things in the beginning; like how it worked and such. It however didn't take me took long to figure out how to work around it, you can also get help from their tutorials, if you are unsure how to upload and put it all together. :)

I am going to test it a month and then maybe consider if I want a paid membership or not :)

I was trying to draw myself, and it didn't really go as expected lol. I did manage to get my mouth somewhat correct, but the rest is kinda off. I have always had a hard time drawing myself, I don't really know why.

I think I will keep the colours in black/white probably, not really sure yet what my goal for this is. I have always liked the idea of doing a portrait picture in no real colours. It should be a fun challenge to do - I think her hairstyle will change a bit too :)
